The European Week and the European Film Festival

The European Week is an annual event that has been organised since 2009 by the Government

of New Caledonia to make Europe better known to New Caledonians and to promote the EU’s actions in the Pacific and in New Caledonia.

The European Week aims to strengthen the visibility of the EU’s actions in New Caledonia and to let the European citizens of New Caledonia get closer to the European Union. The past editions of the Europea Week focused on the themes relating to professional training, environment or to European programmes in favour of Education and Youth.

The European Film Festival has been organised during the same week as the European Week since 2010. It meets an increasing success since 2010 and has become one of the major cultural events in New Caledonia.
