Europe Week and the European Film Fortnight

Europe Week is an annual event organized since 2009 by the government of New Caledonia to make Europe better known to New Caledonians and to promote the actions of the European Union (EU) in the Pacific and in New Caledonia.

Europe Week aims at reinforcing the visibility of EU actions in New Caledonia and at bringing the EU closer to the European citizens living in New Caledonia. Past editions of Europe Week have focused on themes related to vocational training, the environment and European programs for education and youth.

The European Film Fortnight has been organized in conjunction with Europe Week since 2010. Initially named "European Film Week", it has been increasingly successful since 2010 and has become one of the leading cultural events in New Caledonia.
