The Follow-Up Committee France - French OCTs on the EU-OCT partnership

The Follow-Up Committee in 2011, with President Harold Martin and European MP Maurice Ponga

The Follow-Up Committee was created following New Caledonia’s initiative in 2010.

Twice per year, stock can be taken of the progress made regarding EU-OCT matters with representatives of the relevant French authorities. These meetings are co-organised by New Caledonia and the Ministry for French Overseas Departments and Territories.

The meetings took place at La Maison de la Nouvelle-Calédonie :

- in October and December 2010

- in January and June 2011

- in September 2012

- in April and October 2013

In addition to New Caledonia’s participation, the French OCTs represented are Wallis and Futuna, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, French Polynesia, the French Southern and Antarctic Territories and Saint Barthélémy. The French authorities are represented by the Secretariat-General for European Affairs, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for Overseas Departments and Territories and the Permanent Representative of France to the European Union.
