The 5th edition of the "Journées de la mer" (Sea Days),  organized by the maritime cluster of New Caledonia, took place on July 7 and 8. This annual event brought together 175 actors from the maritime world, from the private and public sectors. The government services were well represented.

On Wednesday 30 June, New Caledonia took part in the first Regional Meeting of Ministers of Civil Aviation (RAMM), organized virtually under the chairmanship of Papua New Guinea. 

The 9th Pacific Islands Leaders' Summit (PALM* 9) could not meet in Japan, but took place on July 2 by videoconference. New Caledonia was represented by the President of the Government Thierry Santa and Minister Jean-Louis d'Anglebermes. 

Under the presidency of New Caledonia, a ministerial conference of the European Union's Overseas Countries and Territories Association (OCTA) took place virtually on June 24. On the agenda was the establishment of a new framework for cooperation with  British territories following their withdrawal from the OCTA. 

The revision of New Caledonia's Energy Transition Plan was at the heart of the roundtable discussion organized by the government of New Caledonia's Energy Minister on Thursday, May 10, at the Pacific Community.

The Oceanian Regional Project of Territories for the Sustainable Management of Ecosystems (PROTEGE) was showcased during  Europe Day, relayed in New Caledonia on May 10. A week before, the third territorial coordination committee noted the good implementation of the program funded by the European Union.

New Caledonia was in the spotlight at the "New-Caledonia Energy and Mining Update" hybrid press conference organized by the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce (FACCI). The event gathered more than 60 participants, including a majority of Australian entrepreneurs, on Wednesday April 28 in Brisbane.

New Caledonia is eligible for the Kiwa Initiative, implemented by the French Development Agency (AFD). A new call for ideas has been launched to finance and support regional projects related to climate change adaptation and biodiversity protection. Applications can be submitted on the Kiwa Initiative website until September 15, 2021.
