Private or public project leaders in the fields of environment and climate can apply for European funding under the LIFE program. Workshops are organized at the end of April by the Enviropea association to help prepare applications.

The current presidency of OCTA is held by New Caledonia, elected at the Ministerial Conference held virtually on December 8, 2020.

La Nouvelle-Calédonie participait mardi 29 mars, à une visioconférence sur le programme européen « LIFE 2021–2027 », organisée par l’OCTA, en partenariat avec l’association Enviropea. L’environnement et le climat restent les secteurs privilégiés des partenariats avec l’Europe.

On Tuesday, March 29, New Caledonia participated in a videoconference on the European program "LIFE 2021-2027", organized by OCTA, in partnership with the association Enviropea. The environment and climate remain the preferred areas for partnerships with Europe.

Mickaël Forrest, membre chargé du suivi des relations extérieures en lien avec le président du gouvernement, a participé, samedi 12 février, à un échange de haut niveau avec les leaders des états insulaires du Pacifique et le Secrétaire d’État américain Antony Blinken, actuellement en tournée dans la région.

Une réunion ministérielle extraordinaire de l’association des pays et des territoires d’outre-mer (OCTA) associés à l’Union européenne (UE), s’est déroulée en visioconférence sous la présidence de la Nouvelle-Calédonie pour la deuxième fois.

A special ministerial meeting of the Association of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTA) associated with the European Union (EU), took place by video conference under the chairmanship of New Caledonia for the second time. The main objective of this high-level dialogue was to adopt the new OCTA strategy for the period 2021-2027.
